The Foundry Arts Space

The Foundry Arts Space began as a result of the Echuca/Moama District Planning Process of which Arts and Culture was identified as one of five key categories. At a well-attended public meeting, a broad cross section of the arts community participated in energetic discussions that identified clear and common objectives.

A committed band of members began meeting to bring several goals to fruition. These included, securing a suitable space for exhibitions, workshops and performances; developing a network of artisans and arts enthusiasts and raising the profile of the Arts in our region.

Through partnership with the Shire of Campaspe, The Foundry Arts Space was able to secure an exhibition venue at the former Customs House building in the Port of Echuca. This opportunity of presence and hard work saw The Foundry Arts Space become a highly valued community group directly within Echuca Moama and beyond.

Our home, since 2015, is the Foundry Arts Space on Murray Esplanade, located in the heart of the historic Port Precinct, and welcomes artists, musicians, and creative people to share this historical, but contemporary space. Housed in the former Old Freemans Foundry building, we are steeped in history with an eye to the future and our role as ambassadors for the arts in the Echuca Moama region we investigate sources of funding and cater for a wide variety of exciting projects and exhibitions.

Today The Foundry Arts Space continues to investigate sources of funding and a wide variety of exciting projects and exhibitions for the future.

By joining The Foundry Arts Space’s arts network, we can help keep you informed about the arts activities in our region through our newsletter and website. Becoming a financial member of The Foundry Arts Space will help provide monetary support to the group and ensure it can continue to grow and achieve its goals.

Membership will allow you to contribute to how the arts and culture of the community are developed, supported and promoted in the area.
